Care guide
Keep your bouquetlooking its best
A few small habits stretch a bouquet from a beautiful afternoon into a beautiful week. Here is how we do it at the atelier.
Setup time: ≈5 minutes

Step 1
Trim the stems
Snip 1–2 cm off the base of each stem at a diagonal under running water using sharp scissors or a knife. The fresh cut lets the bouquet drink again — a flat or crushed stem can't.

Step 2
Fresh water often
Change the water every two to three days. Rinse the vase clean before refilling — bacterial film is what makes water cloud and shortens vase life.

Step 3
Add the sachet
Dissolve the small flower-food packet that came with your bouquet into the fresh water. It feeds the flowers and slows the bacteria you can't see.

Step 4
Sun, heat, and fruit
Keep the bouquet out of direct sun, away from radiators, and far from a fruit bowl. Ripening fruit releases ethylene, which makes petals drop early.

Step 5
Snip the wilted
Remove any bloom that turns the moment it starts to fade. The healthy stems then keep their share of water and nutrients.

Step 6
Share the moment
Take a photo on day three — that is usually when the bouquet looks most considered. Send it to whoever gave it to you. Tag us if you like.
